It’s the end of the summer season, and many are finding that it is time to head to college/university. Whether it is your first semester as a freshman or you are returning for an additional term, we have curated a list of the essentials needs when returning to living at college/university.
At this point in time, you are undoubtedly scratching your head, wondering what you do and do not need to be taking with you on your return to college/university living. We have taken care of the research for you and prepared a moving to college/university checklist for new and returning students. However, feel free to tweak it to fit your own personal needs.
Deciding What To Pack
Admittedly, when considering what to take with you to college/university, hundreds of things may come to mind. But, it would be best if you remember that you are only moving for a few months, and you are not moving to the moon.
There will be shops to purchase what you need where you are going, and to that extent, it would undeniably be easier and possibly much cheaper to wait until you are at college/university to buy some of the items you will need.
It is also best to remember that your new dorm room or shared apartment will not have the amount of space you are accustomed to at home. Taking more stuff than is needed is one of the most common mistakes that most first-year students make when moving to college. A simple rule of thumb is what fits in your car’s trunk, and the back seat is all you need to take.
