We’ve all dealt with it – the inevitable “I need more space” conundrum that often ends in a garage sale or trip to the dump or recycling facility. With baskets or boxes, these shelves can become incredibly functional storage spaces for items of all sizes, and when packed away in containers are not an eyesore.
Think about double-duty pieces. A minimalist TV stand may look great, but one that offers storage space as well as function is even better. A nightstand that offers a cubby underneath can be a great place for extra storage. Ottomans with removable lids are great places to store bulky blankets, keeping them within arm’s reach when kicking back on the couch.
Rent a portable storage unit. Ok, so you’ve done a major overhaul of items that perhaps don’t get the attention that their space deserves, but you still don’t want to get rid of them.
