They have plenty of features to help you keep your move going smoothly, and best of all, they are free!
State Farm Move Tools
The insurance company offers you a great tool for organizing your move. After all, whose best interest is it in to ensure that you move goes off without a hitch? Here are some of the main features of the State Farm Move Tools.
To-Do List – This is a detailed week by week list of moving tasks that you can customize to your move dates. You can open up each of these tasks to see details on them so you can understand exactly what you need to do for that task. Once the tasks are complete, you can mark them off the list.
Interactive Packing Tool – Packing made easier with an interactive tool that presents you with a room and a moving box. You drag the items in the room into the box, or you can add custom items into the box if you wish.
Packing Labels – Once you are done using the packing too, print out labels for each of the boxes you have created.
Inventory – This is a comprehensive list of all of the things that you have packed into your virtual boxes. The list is searchable, so you can find items that you may be concerned about.
Sortly
This release exclusively for iOS is a great way to get organized when moving. Sortly calls itself the “ultimate organizer app” because it can help you create a list of all of your possessions in a visual and virtual inventory. It may not win any awards for looking pretty, but it sure gets the job done right.
Move Checklist – This is a built in checklist that breaks your move down week by week for up to eight weeks before you move. Tapping the tasks will give details on what you need to do in order to complete the task. The only downfall is there is no way to create a custom task.
Extended Feature List – The checklist and the inventory are free. To access some of the premium features you will need to purchase the app. Some of the (untested) features are printable labels with QR codes, short videos and customizable labeling lists.
